Welcome

Located in the historic former headquarters of the American Thread Company, the Windham Textile and History Museum houses a museum, historical society, library, and archive. Through its exhibits, programs, activities, and collections, the Museum preserves and interprets the history of textiles, the textile industry, and textile communities in Connecticut.

Open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10am to 4pm

Visit our Gift Shop

The gift shop is open to visitors with no admission charge. Browse our selection of books by local authors, postcards and handmade goods made by local artisans. For the fiber artists among us, we also carry yarn, knitting needles, sewing supplies, vintage sewing notions, and many textile crafting books. We also have several spinning wheels for sale.
